Microsoft has a new mapping service at local.live.com that not only offers overhead aerial photography but "bird's eye" angled views that let the user see completely around a property.
It gives a sense of height and proportion that you don't find in a straight overhead perspective.
However, as of 9/12/06, the pointer to a specific address can be up to a 100 feet off. Best to supplement with Redfin.
